Laughing Gas

Many children are at ease at the dental office, however, sometimes a child feels anxious during treatment. Your child may need more than a gentle and caring manner to feel comfortable. We offer nitrous oxide/oxygen ( also known as Laughing Gas). It is recognized by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry as a safe and effective modality for treating children. It has a calming effect. There are many beneficial effects of nitrous including: less anxiety, less pain perception, altered perception of time, visual fear reduction (the nose helps block tools and instruments that can potentially frighten the child).
